I like to say it, but I can’t

I’d like to say that life is easy and that you can get everything you want without needing to overcome limiting beliefs and self-doubt, but you can’t. It’s just not a thing.

Growing takes courage, and courage is naturally challenging.

I’m learning that stepping out of our comfort zone is the very thing that opens doors, and that’s why few people achieve the life they want.

We were put on this earth with an inner knowing. A roadmap.

Some call it desire. Others call it purpose. But whatever you call it, it’s why we’re here.

Inside everyone of us is something that pulls us forward and if we listen, we know it’s there. Whether it’s to work on a project in Africa, build a commercial empire, save the planet with new technology, or even build a school for those with special needs. Whatever the plan, we know it’s there—if we listen.

We know because it pulls at our heart strings. Taps on our shoulder when life isn’t going to plan. And it’s the first place we go when life starts showing promise.

We also light up when you hear anything that resonates with our Higher Purpose. Because it lands inside us like a bolt of lightening.

This isn’t some bumbo jumbo. It’s real. Don’t believe me?

I can guarantee you that there have been times in your life when you have watched something on television and felt a deep inner knowing. A sense of “I should be there.” And then, for the next hour, you lament on what should have been, could have been, would have been…

That’s it! That deep knowing is the alignment of your soul with your inner purpose. That’s the life you’re meant to be living. The one you know is in your veins but you keep ignoring.

Sadly most of us hide it, squash it or even kill it. Because we have so many attachments to the life we live today, we don’t know how to let go.

We tell ourselves people can’t live without us. That we have committments we must fulfil. But deep down we know it’s not true. There are few things in life that won’t keep ticking, whether we’re there or not. But we have to come to terms with that (which is a post for another day).

Yes, we have committments. Yes, some people like to have our undivided attention, but there’s a sobering truth we won’t say out loud. It’s our choice to stay doing what we’re doing. Nobody else’s.

Let that land…

So, how do we live the life we were put here to live?

We have to trust, listen and take action. And that’s why I can’t say it’s easy.

You have to be willing to change. The way you think, the way you act, the limiting beliefs you wrap yourself in, day after day. It all has to fall away. And because we’re so attached—to everything —it’s a tough ride.

You have to be willing to be uncomfortable, stretch yourself and follow your heart. And stop giving in to false attachments that aren’t even real.

And you have to be willing to keep going.

So, why do it?

I can’t answer that question for you. But I can tell you my truth.

I believe that inside every human being there is an inner compass. One that is unique and unwavering. And I believe that we have been sent here to follow that compass and fulfil our own journey. To learn, to teach, to transform lives. To move the unmovable.

When I get to the pearly gates, I want one thing to be certain. That I have not wasted my journey. This golden map has been given to me with a mission, and that mission I shall fulfil. And that is why I step out of my comfort zone every day, and probably always will.

If you want to explore this further, to find your inner truth, book a sessions and set up a call. Two hours of quiet time could be all you need to find a new way forward.
